Our Education Committee is committed to crafting enriching educational initiatives and resources designed to empower and inform our Membership. This encompasses the facilitation of New Member Orientation sessions and a wide array of programs aimed at fostering the development of Union Members.
Education Committee Overview
The Education Committee develops and delivers educational content that informs, engages, and empowers the Membership regarding Union operations, rights, and participation.
Committee Member Responsibilities
- Assist with education planning and content creation;
- Support education projects from concept through rollout;
- Participate in committee meetings and collaboration;
- Meet deadlines and maintain communication with the Chair.
Committee Chair Responsibilities
- Build monthly and annual education plans;
- Lead committee meetings and manage timelines;
- Assign work and track progress;
- Coordinate with other committees and Union leadership;
- Draft communication requests and respond to education inquiries;
- Track hours and ensure submissions.
Time Commitment:
Approximately 15–20+ hours per month.
